This mixture contains Virginia Wild Rye, Purple Top, Little Bluestem - Schizachyrium scoparium, and Broom Sedge.~~~


This Southeast Native Grass Seed mixture of warm and cool-season grasses grows to a height of 24 to 48 in. Our Southeastern Native Seed Mix may be planted alone or with a mixture of wildflowers.

Product Information

  • Application or Use: Pasture, Natural Habitat, Erosion Control, Cover Crop
  • Germination Time: 14 - 21 days, under optimal conditions.  Allow 3-4 weeks for the unstratified seed to break dormancy and germinate, under optimal conditions.
  • Growing Locations: Warm Season & Transition Zone
  • Height: 2 - 4 feet
  • Sunlight Requirements: 8+ hours, full sun for best results
  • Advantages: Perfect to blend with wildflowers.
  • When to Plant: Recommended planting time is spring and summer when night time temperatures are consistently 65+ degrees.
